Hi A2,
I hope you are surviving the last days of class. Be nice to Scott, I'm sure he's very tired these days....
I love Seattle. Here you can get 3 extra hours of sleep because of the time change!
The conference is going very well. I've been listening to a number of different presentations from a variety of speakers. It's exciting as a teacher because even we are still students learning of different ways to approach teaching English to our students.
Can you imagine that we are wearing shoes and light spring jackets? It hasn't rained yet today but the sky is clouding over quite a bit. Downtown Seattle is really new. The architecture is great. The shopping looks great too, but that will happen after the conference....
A big hello to you all and I'll write more tomorrow!
Sherry :)

hi sherry, im so happy that you are enjoying your time their in seattle. we did a reading exam this morning , it was quiet long but i think that it was fine for me. also we had a debate, i wish you were here to join our debate. it was hotly discussed, anyway i mentioned my view of point, and i made it clear, moreover i respected others points. tomorrow we have writing test, and is the last one. i see that im talking about my self so much. so tell us about you, and how is the conference is going. really you made so exciting to visit seattle, especially that im dreaming to be to visit boeing company.
i think that you can say that you are from germany, because you speak german, and thats also will confuse them, so because you are a super teacher, they will never get you. i wish that you could one day teach german, because i wanna learn it.
anyway, take care of yourself, and enjoy your time.
have fun.
bye bye
Hi Khalid,
Too bad I missed the debate. I really enjoyed listening to the last one. You guys were really great!
There is a lot of advertising for the boeing company. If I see some literature on it, I will pick it up for you. It``s a bit out of town so I don`t know if I`ll get the chance to see it. There is so much to see here, but I`m so busy.
I walked around so much today that I feel like my legs are going to fall off....the other teachers are all wearing running shoes. It`s not a bad idea, but since I run from one conference to the other, what I really need is my roller blades...ha ha
As for learning German. I can understand your interest in learning it. It is a really cool language with it`s confusing grammar and words consisting of 27 letters long.
Here is your first word:
Geschwindlichkeitsbegrenzung which means speed limit. This is my favorite word in German. As for the speed limit in Seattle, people drive like Montrealers. 10 points for every pedestrian
Bis spater,
S
